Brian Connolly makes a welcomed return to The Mill Enterprise Hub with this short course aimed at helping self-employed individuals, start-ups and small businesses take their work to the next level.
With just 2 hours per week over 5 weeks, Brian will work closely with you to give you the tools you need to devise a simple plan to promote your business and bring it to the next level. Over the course of the 5 weeks, you will create your plan, put it into action and start to see the results.
Brian will give uncomplicated and accessible tips that can be easily applied to businesses within a variety of industries or sectors. It doesn't matter if you're the owner of an estate agents, an actor, a plumber or a dog-walker, there are many simple ways to positively grow your brand.
This course will cover a variety of areas - including:
-General outline of creating a marketing and business development strategy
-Simple steps that can make you stand out from your local competition
-Branching into new markets/launching new products
-Managing outsourcing/recruitment/financial planning
-Making social media work for you
-Introduction to digital marketing
This course is particularly well-suited to someone who is either self-employed and working on their own, or someone who is not necessarily in the position to employ someone to run their marketing/business development and would like to up-skill themselves.

About Brian:
Dr Brian Connolly is a Composer, Marketing & Business Development Manager and iTunes Award-winning Podcast Producer. Priding himself on being a creative professional, Brian has also been the producer of the Irishman Abroad podcast network since it’s inception in 2013 and his PhD in the area of perception studies sees it only natural for Brian to work closely with businesses and public personalities in the building of their brand through various communications and market research strategies.
Brian's training and consultancy focuses primarily on working with both companies and self-employed individuals to give them the tools that they need to bring their business further through easy and accessible training.
During the course of his PhD (specialising in digital media) Brian gained an international reputation as a presenter, researcher and composer. Brian's comprehensive and creative approach to business solutions has been tried and tested across a variety of platforms and industries.
